Good afternoon, parents!
The snow is melting quickly and we are excited for our athletes to get outside on the track! We are reaching out to you because we are asking for some help in order to make this season a fun and successful one for our students. We need your help! Below is a list of areas where we need YOU!
That’s it for now! Our first priority is to get someone who can manage the Signup Genius website so we can get all parents signed up at some point to help! We are going to have a great season and we look forward to hearing from you! Please contact Lana Wuerth or Andrea Chang with any questions or if you would like to help immediately with these needs Thank you so much! Winter has not let up its grasp yet, so expect to spend more time in the Dome. Here are some things to expect when there: o Coaches and other adults need to manage all ASD athletes’ behavior at all times. o The track will be shared with the general public at all times except actual meets. Please be kind and courteous and always yield to others. Lanes 1-3, closer to the turf, are for running and sprinting; outer lanes 4-6 are for walking. o To enter and exit the turf, use only the stairs or the large gate by the sand pits. o Do not lift the nets or crawl under them. o Do not use the emergency exits except during an emergency. o The egress paths and areas around exits must be clear at all times - do not place goals, bags, equipment, people, or anything else where they can block any exit or walkway. o Hurdles are kindly loaned by UAA - handle them carefully and always put them away. Never leave hurdles out after using them. o If using the jump pits, groom and cover them when finished. o Never spit on the track or the turf. Trash cans are located throughout the facility. o Water is the only beverage allowed on the turf. Food is never allowed on the turf. All food and drinks must be consumed outside the turf. Skinny Raven is having a spike sale at the Dome, March 14-17, 3:00-6:00pm If you can't make it then, you can shop in-store or online, using the discount code TEAM20 for athlete purchases until March 31.
