Dear Track & Field Families,
Now that the first “unofficial” meet is under our belt, the Booster Club Board of Directors would like to officially welcome you to the 2023 Service Cougar Track Season! There are so many exciting things ahead for our student athletes and we want to do our best to keep you informed, answer all your questions, and address any concerns you may have during the season. Most of all, we want YOU TO FEEL INVOLVED as its going to take all of us pulling together to make this a great season! We just had our first official Booster Club meeting this past Wednesday where we voted in our Board of Directors. Here are a few things that are SUPER important for families to know RIGHT AWAY!! The best way to stay informed is to join the REMIND. To do this, join via the App or text @ServiceTFP to 81010. Now, you will receive daily updates as to what is going! THIS IS SUPER EXCITING!! Check out this link for some super cool Service swag and more specifically Track & Field gear. The more that we purchase the more money we make as a Booster Club and the more fun things we can provide and plan for our students. Send the link to family and friends that may want to purchase Service gear to support your student athlete! There is a time crunch and the DEADLINE IS APRIL 1, 2023 (that’s 8 days left) Gear will be mailed directly to you. WE NEED YOU!!! Here is the link to sign up to help bring snacks and drinks to the track meets. The student athletes love to eat and parents love it when they stay hydrated. We have two coolers that were donated to our team and we need some volunteers to bring them to the meets each week with ice and then other parents to bring the drinks. Please check out the link and sign up! Lastly, what is all this talk about Cougar Cache? It is the student store (filled with snacks & treats) available for purchase to the students during lunch time. Service has opened it up to the different activities of the school to work to earn money for their club or organization. We usually earn $100 per session that we work and can work 2x per month. We need one parent volunteer and usually about 5 athletes each session. (Coach has NO problem finding students to work as they all usually really enjoy it). Here’s the process: parents need to sign up using the link below and then let coach Lane know what day you’ve signed up and he will get the students there. If you could also email the booster club when you have signed up that would be helpful as well so that we can make sure we get our two times in for the month. We need one more space filled for April and two for May. PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to let Willow Peyton with the PTSA know you are volunteering for the Track and Field team, otherwise the money will not get forwarded to our team. This information is on website but it's easy to miss. https://servicehighptsa.weebly.com/cougar-cache.html Again, please let the Booster Club know (via email servicecougartfbooster@gmail.com) if you have any questions about anything or if you would like to help us in any way. We will be sending out another email soon with all things FUNDRAISING so stay tuned! Have a great weekend! -Your Service Track Booster Club
